Quality Technician - Actalent : Job Details

Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety through rigorous testing and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role involves working with various testing protocols and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

+ Work consistently in a safe manner.

+ Test slurries for moisture and salt.

+ Place non-conforming product on hold and release product for shipment.

+ Perform peroxide value, free fatty acid, IV, and trans fat testing on incoming oil loads.

+ Perform microbial and environmental testing.

+ Perform allergen testing.

+ Keep proper and accurate documentation of all lab testing and procedures.

+ Maintain a clean working environment.

+ Follow GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Essential Skills

+ Demonstrate quality-oriented attitude.

+ Ability to meet deadlines and keep up with the daily work schedule.

+ Experience with GLP, GMP, and Food Safety Programs.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office platform (Excel, Word, etc.).

+ 3-5 years of production-based experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in the Food & Beverage industry is a plus.

Work Environment

You will train on the day shift and ultimately work nights. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotation every second to third week. The position offers annual increases and bonuses, up to a 9% contribution on 401k, 12 holidays, 2 weeks of vacation, and 3 sick days.
