Are you a seasoned Quality Technician ready to take on diverse challenges in a dynamic environment? Look no further! MacLean-Fogg is seeking a skilled Quality Technician 3 to join our team. As a pivotal member of our quality assurance team, you'll be at the forefront of precision and innovation, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. **Job Summary:** As a Quality Technician 3, you will be responsible for a wide range of quality assurance tasks, including managing our calibration system, conducting MSA studies, and programming CMM and optical measurement systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the accuracy, precision, and compliance of our products with industry standards and internal procedures. **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and maintain our calibration system to ensure all measurement and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Interpret engineered drawings and specifications to understand product requirements and tolerances.
  • Develop fixture solutions to securely hold products during inspection and testing.
  • Conduct metrology studies and generate comprehensive reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Facilitate MSA studies to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of measurement equipment and processes.
  • Develop and maintain programs for CMM and optical measuring instruments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of products, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.
  • Provide training and support to team members on quality processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality assurance activities.
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications:**
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing role, preferably in a quality environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
  • Strong programming skills for CMM and Keyence measurement systems.
  • Experience conducting MSA studies and capability studies.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues.
  • Ability to work autonomously under minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments.
