* Performs First Article inspections and processing for components and assemblies as required to support quality, manufacturing or engineering functions. Ensures all First Articles, incoming material, manufacturing processes and outgoing material meet their documented standards and reports results.
* Performs product qualification testing which includes inspection non-qualified parts and parts from non-qualified suppliers and assesses the quality of raw material.
* Performs product development support by evaluating new products against the design objectives and requirements for performance.
* Supports the control and segregation of non-conforming materials. Performs documentation of non-conforming components or assemblies.
* Develops and performs non-standard product testing to evaluate products with unusual problems in response to manufacturing process or field quality problems.
* Evaluates and monitors supplier quality performance, and collaborates with suppliers to implement improvements.
* Manages and controls the calibration of test equipment.
* Performs routine monitoring of the production process through process audits.
* Interacts regularly with engineering, manufacturing and service functions during routine investigations and when establishing quality standards.
* Serves as resource for the Customer Service Center, and analyzes difficult product problems.
* Maintains and updates quality records and documentation in accordance with established procedures and manufacturing practices.
* Prepares critical limit samples for cosmetic or functional use to ensure quality of appearance of products.
* Performs internal product audits and problem analysis to identify issues on fully assembled and sub-assembled products.
