This is a 1-year grant funded position. Typical Duties 1. Work directly with the Director of Recruitment to plan and participate in numerous recruitment efforts which will include events, group presentations, and personal appointments (over the phone, on the web, or in person). 2. Engage, track, and follow up with students that may be eligible for Quest funding, assisting them in the admissions and registration process 3. Collaborate with the MCC advising team to ensure proper college-level placement or next steps for HS students. 4. Provide in-person and remote support to students about general information, college courses, financial aid, registration, class scheduling, advising, and miscellaneous student information. 5. Prepare a variety of technical documents, which involves collecting and verifying information; assembling, compiling, and printing reports; and proofreading and distributing reports. 6. Process and maintain accurate and detailed records and documents; prepare student records and associated correspondence; data entry, document imaging, and retrieve information from databases and verify the completeness and accuracy of the information submitted. 7. Perform follow-up procedures in a timely and consistent manner. 8. Maintain department quality and productivity standards. 9. Handle highly sensitive information and confidential records and materials in compliance with state and federal regulations. 10. Work with the Marketing and Public Information Office to plan, coordinate, develop, and distribute publications. 11. Adhere to college, federal, and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives, and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations.12. Maintains an awareness of the local job market and opportunities to assist in providing guidance to clients; may attend job fairs, conduct special workshops, presentations, group orientations, or perform other training and outreach services. Qualifications Minimum:
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in an office setting.
Or
  • Any combination of education and experience that results in possession of skills, knowledge,and behaviors as outlined in the position's core competencies below.
Preferred:
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a community college or higher education setting.
