Radio Network Engineer - First Point Group : Job Details

Position Overview: The Senior Radio Network Engineer leads the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced radio networks, focusing on 5G and LTE technologies. This role involves conducting performance analyses, utilizing planning tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure network solutions meet technical standards and customer needs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality network performance.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years in a relevant field with a BSEE or BSCS, including recent radio network design and optimization experience.
• Leadership: Proven leadership in five+ projects, with at least two leading all technical activities in large-scale environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, 4G LTE, IoT, and CBRS. Strong understanding of Layer 3 messaging for 4G and 5G.
• Planning Tools: Extensive experience with Planet EV and Atoll, including link budget analysis and project creation.
• Optimization Skills: Proficient in using ACP and optimization tools (e.g., TEMS Investigation, Actix). Ability to recommend parameter changes based on drive test data.
• Network Tuning: Experience in tuning networks, understanding traffic loading, and conducting event analysis.
• Carrier Impact: Knowledge of the effects of adding carriers on network performance.
• KPI Management: Strong understanding of KPIs with the ability to provide improvement recommendations.
