Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Rail Engineer / Project Manager to join our growing rail group in Southern California. Qualified candidates will have experience that includes planning, design, and preparation of construction drawings and contract documents for all types of rail and transit projects from planning through construction. They will have served as a project engineer, task lead, and/or project manager on rail and transit projects with key clients such as Metrolink, LA Metro, OCTA, RCTC, SBCTA, SANDAG, NCTD, Caltrain, BART, BNSF, UPRR, California High-speed Rail (CAHSR) Authority, Brightline, Gold Line Authority, SGVCOG, and other local cities. Rail projects include commuter, freight, light and heavy rail, as well as passenger stations, maintenance support facilities, rail yards, at-grade crossings, and grade separations.

Base salary range:
$127,000 to $155,000 annually based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualifications in job description.
Working conditions:
Works indoors and onsite/outdoors with some travel across. When onsite may be exposed to weather conditions including very hot and very cold.
Physical requirements:
Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required.
