Girl Vow is seeking a full-time New York City-based Grant Program Manager to focus on overseeing a grant-funded initiative aimed at the prevention of sexual violence. In this role, you will lead adult and youth community initiatives, create and leverage Girl Vow partnerships, and implement prevention strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, community engagement, grant compliance, and partnership development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of sexual violence prevention strategies, ensuring alignment with grant objectives.
- Building and maintaining programs, fostering partnerships, and coordinating prevention efforts within the community.
- Developing program work plans to guide the implementation of grant activities.
- Building leadership skills among youth and adult community members, encouraging program participation and engagement.
- Identifying community needs and design initiatives.
- Engaging and collaborating with community stakeholders on efforts to prevent sexual violence.
- Overseeing all aspects of grant management, including reporting, compliance with grant guidelines, and communication with funding agencies.
- Submitting reports, work plans, and any program adjustments to meet the requirements of all stakeholders.
- Monitoring program progress and performance and providing metrics to assess effectiveness.
- Identifying and prioritizing populations with high rates of sexual violence, ensuring prevention strategies are tailored to their needs.
- Managing data collection, evaluation activities, and program monitoring to assess impact and guide continuous improvement of program strategies.
- Participating in and contributing to discussions with external stakeholders.
- Leveraging resources and networks to support sexual violence prevention efforts and ensure program sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (Master's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in non-profit Program Management.
- Proven success in managing grant-funded programs, including compliance, reporting, and relationship management with funders.
- Strong understanding of prevention strategies related to sexual violence.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in community engagement and working with diverse populations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Spanish speaking preferred
