RAW MATERIAL SAW OPERATOR - Curt G. Joa : Job Details

Job Summary:The Raw Material Saw Operator is responsible for sawing material to meet print specifications.Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job:

• Operate manual and CNC raw material saw.
• Saw material to meet print specifications.
• Handle the raw material - loading the saw and unloading trucks.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane as required.
• Maintain work area.
• Must be able to collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop solutions.

• Ability to identify different types of materials (aluminum, cold rolled steel, stainless steel).
• Ability to convert metric dimensions to inch and have strong math skills.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings.
• Be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
• Requires education generally equivalent to a High School diploma.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.

• The incumbent will utilize safety glasses and safety shoes in production areas.

Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• During the performance of their work duties, the incumbent will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and regularly lift up to 25 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.

Tools/Equipment Utilized:

• During the performance of their duties, the employee will utilize product measuring instruments such as a scale and will drive a forklift.
