SkillBridge Summary:

  • Raytheon's Naval Systems department within the Ground Radars and Platforms Center is seeking to bring on an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with knowledge in test planning and execution with extensive customer interaction to support department portfolio activity. This individual will be an individual contributor within a small team primarily supporting site activity. The individual needs experience supporting shipboard testing and the AEGIS Combat system, working within a Linux environment, and analysis via MATLAB.

What You Will Do

  • Support system level radar integration and test planning, execution, and reporting
  • Troubleshoot issues with hardware, and take investigations to closure
  • Interface with Technical SMEs to support issue resolution and troubleshooting
  • Interface with customer, shipyard, and integration collaborators
  • Potential support of shipboard testing at sea
  • Extensive travel commitment to shipyards and/or land-based test sites across the country (50% or more domestic travel). This role will require extended hours and may require the employee to support off-shift hours.
  • Must be able to Obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance

The idea SkillBridge Candidate will possess the following:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with system hardware, radar system, software, and/or integration
  • Experience MATLAB, Linux, and/or other programming language
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • SkillBridge Eligibility overview:

    To be eligible for this SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:

    • Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
    • Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
    • Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
    • Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
    • Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.
