Description The City of Germantown is seeking dependable, dedicated individuals to serve as REACH Front Desk Assistants responsible for monitoring the front entrance and following the school's guest procedures and Department of Human Services policies. The REACH (Recreation-Education-Art-Community-Health) Extended School Program is managed by the City's Parks & Recreation Department and is designed to provide the perfect combination of recreation, education, art, community and health to enrich the educational experience of primary students within the Germantown Municipal School District. Examples of Duties Typical duties include:
  • Greet parents and children at the front desk as they arrive
  • Sign children in and out following established procedures
  • Maintain child records and registration paperwork
  • Complete daily reports, including facility, attendance and payment reports
  • Handle complaints and comments, referring to appropriate management personnel as needed
  • Provide staff support as needed, such as answering phone, filing and making copies
  • Follow procedures to safeguard the safety of children
  • Assist with the set up and closing procedures
  • Establish open communication and good rapport with each parent
Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalency and have experience working around children. Must be CPR or First Aid Certified or have the ability to obtain. Background checks and physicals will be conducted. Requirements
  • Knowledge of childcare regulations
  • Ability to engage with both parents and children
  • Ability to maintain positive, effective working relationships
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Must be able to work one or both shifts, Monday - Friday
