For more information review the NEOGOV and General Responsibilities Under the general direction of the School Success Director, the REACH Program Site Assistant will share logistic responsibilities at the school including student recruitment, activity scheduling, volunteer recruitment, record keeping and recording, supervision of students, assisting with volunteers, and all other aspects of the program.Salary:This position pays a flat hourly rate of $19.66. This is a grant funded program with a set hourly rate. Assignment:This position is temporary, and will work as needed during the 2024-25 School Year. The position will serve the Lyle School District - Dallesport Elementary. The anticipated work schedule will be: up to 16 hours per week during the regular school year and up to 25 hours per week during the four-week summer program. A complete application will include:

  • Essential Functions/Other Functions Essential Functions:
  • Assist in recruitment and retention of students.
  • Support the curriculum as directed by the Site Coordinator.
  • Assist with training volunteers.
  • Be a liaison between the regular school staff and the REACH program as needed.
  • Assist Site Coordinator with collection and evaluation of relevant data, state assessment, and other assessment for project planning and evaluation.
  • Work with Site Coordinator to develop projects, special events, and family activities as described in the grant.
  • Participate in program staff meetings including those with the local Advisory Council at least three times annually.
  • Assist with program records and project reports.
  • Supervise students.
  • Collect data and report student progress.
  • Maintain accurate data collection records.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, workshops and seminars.
  • Other Functions:
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate's Degree or 48 sem./72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university OR a passing score of 461 on the ParaPro Assessment.
  • Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Three to five years school-based experience working with students, staff, administrators, and parents.
  • Experience working with at-risk children.
  • Experience in tutoring/assisting with instruction in reading and mathematics.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience creating reports and presentations.
