Responsibilities / Tasks

Join our team as a Material Handler, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe flow of materials within our warehouse. This position involves loading and unloading materials, handling stock, and supporting warehouse operations using a range of equipment. We're looking for a safety-conscious, detail-oriented team player to help maintain our high standards of accuracy and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize Safety: Maintain a “Safety First” approach in all tasks.
  • Material Handling: Operate various types of equipment, including Reach Trucks, Electric Pallet Jacks, High-Lifts, and Forklifts, to safely move materials within the warehouse.
  • Receiving & Processing: Unload shipments, verify order accuracy, process, and package materials.
  • Order Preparation: Pick and stage orders for outbound shipments, ensuring all items are correct and properly packed.
  • Loading & Verification: Check outbound orders for accuracy and load trailers for delivery.
  • General Warehouse Support: Perform additional duties as needed to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
  • Mentorship: May provide guidance to lower-level material handlers, fostering a team environment and supporting skill development.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Reach Truck Proficiency: Minimum of 3 years' experience operating a Reach Truck.
  • Technical Experience: Familiarity with RF Scanners, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or SAP software.
  • Language Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English.
  • Mathematical Ability: Solid math skills for accurate inventory and order management.
  • Chemical Handling: Experience handling chemicals is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Endurance: Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strength: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, with bending and reaching as necessary.

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
