Reading Specialist/Reading Interventionist - FT Teacher, Grades 7-12 - 2024-2025 The Gilbert School in Winsted CT is looking to fill a certified educator position to round out our amazing team of instructional professionals. The successful candidate will serve as the literacy expert within the building and work to improve school-wide literacy through reading assessment, instruction, data analysis, program analysis, and professional development. CT Cerfications #102, #097 Work Experience: Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the area of literacy. Knowledge of literacy intervention strategies and remedial literacy programs and the implementation of such programming preferably at the middle and high school levels. Experience with and ability to provide training and resources to ensure strategies that meet the needs of diverse early learners in general education settings. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to support teachers in the use of strategies that will improve student's skills and confidence within the academic setting. Ability to use data to assess, monitor, and improve teaching and student performance and work closely with building leadership to develop a community of readers.
