About the Position:We are working with an elite international law firm that has a need for a real estate capital markets lawyer to join its highly-regarded investment funds practice as an associate, counsel, or in a non-partnership track role. This firm is regarded as a preeminent law firm in the REIT and real estate securities industry and advises publicly traded and private REITs, and real estate operating and finance companies, at all lifecycle stages. This practice has handled some of the most sophisticated and complex REIT-related transactions and is recognized by Legal 500, Chambers USA, and Chambers Global.

Responsibilities:· Manage and oversee structured securities offerings within the investment funds group· Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, financings, and development projects· Work closely with real estate companies, REITs, and institutional and financial investors to structure and execute complex real estate deals

Required Qualifications:· 6 or more years of experience with securities issues relating to REITs and other private placements· Experience advising institutional real estate investment advisors, REITs, investment funds and developers on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions· Excellent academic credentials· Large law firm experience is preferred

Location:Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:The anticipated base salary for this position is $310,000 – $550,000.
