Paralegal
The Paralegal will work closely with the Acting General Counsel and the finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in all types of real estate transactions, project finance, tax equity and corporate governance work within the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities:
Real Estate
M&A, Project Finance, and Tax Equity:
Provide support in collating and maintaining project finance documentation and corporate documentation, for debt and tax equity financing transactions.
Set up closing extranets and data rooms, preparing and tracking signature pages, preparing, and distributing final closing sets and CDs—and all manner of pre-closing, closing, and post-closing matters.
Prepare corporate legal documents.
Other miscellaneous corporate oriented work
Work closely with our finance team regarding the transfer of closing funds, payments of invoices and legal billing.
Desired Skills and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, LLB or JD.
Paralegal Certificate.
At least 10 years of relevant law firm or in house experience as a commercial real estate paralegal dealing with leasing, construction and construction financing.
Experience working in a fast-paced legal environment and a “can do” mentality. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must have full legal authorization to work in the US which does not require sponsorship.
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheet and PowerPoint
