Real Estate Representative I

Location: Battle Creek, MI (Primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings and travel)

Contract Duration: Until February 3, 2026, with potential for extension

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Real Estate Representative I to join our New Business Acquisition Department. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional onsite meetings and travel to Calhoun, Barry, and Branch Counties as needed. You will play a key role in preparing and reviewing easement documents, conducting property research, and supporting various internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process easement documents.
• Research and analyze property title work.
• Review, verify, and interpret existing easement documents and legal property descriptions.
• Negotiate directly with property owners to secure easements.
• Collaborate with project coordinators, designers, and other internal teams.
• Meet with landowners and internal clients to address project requirements.
• Assist with distribution and low-voltage project tasks.
• Perform administrative and research tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general computer use.
• Knowledge of title work and property-related legal descriptions.

Preferred:

• MI Notary certification.
