The Department of Environmental Protection is currently seeking a Real Estate Specialist for the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation, specifically in the Real Estate and Property Ownership section. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will engage in various real estate tasks, which include investigating ownership of surface and mineral rights. You will also be responsible for securing Right of Entry consents from property owners on behalf of the Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation's Real Estate and Property Ownership Section. Your duties will involve conducting preliminary ownership research and initiating contact to gain permission for entry to carry out reclamation activities.
You will play a key role in drafting essential legal documents that safeguard the interests of both the Commonwealth and the property owners during the reclamation process. This aspect of the job is crucial to ensure that all parties are protected and that the work can proceed smoothly. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment
* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
* Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ebensburg.
* Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,836.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* One year as a Real Estate Technician (commonwealth title); or
* Two years of technical real estate experience and an associate degree; or
* An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
* This position requires possession of an active Class C driver's license or equivalent.
