Responsibilities
Land Acquisition: Lead the process of acquiring land and property rights for renewable energy projects, including preparing and reviewing contracts, procuring real property agreements, and managing due diligence processes.Title Procurement: Coordinate with title companies to initiate and order title commitments for properties to ensure accurate ownership information before entering into lease agreements; Facilitate the timely and efficient title closing processes when purchasing properties for renewable energy projects in order to make sure project timelines are met; Update and maintain title commitments regularly, tracking any changes in property ownership or status to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance.Contract Management and Drafting: Spend approximately 25-50% of time drafting, reviewing, and procuring of real estate agreements, contracts, and leases for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with project timelines, company contract terms, legal regulations, and financing requirements.Project Support: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, attorneys, and other team members to provide real estate expertise throughout the development and construction phases.Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Review and assess real property agreements, title reports, surveys and other documents and materials for utility-scale renewable energy projects including performing an analysis of existing land rights to identify potential issues or encumbrances that may affect project development and provide expert guidance and recommendations to the Project Development team on land right matters in order to assist in decision-making and risk mitigation strategies of potential acquisitions.Due Diligence: Coordinate and oversee comprehensive due diligence activities, including property surveys, title searches, and other relevant investigations.Data Management and Reporting: Enter and maintain property and real property agreement data in a land management database and other systems; Prepare regular reports and updates on real estate activities, project progress, and market trends for internal stakeholders and management.Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with landowners, local communities, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project development and gain necessary approvals.Other Duties: Perform other duties as necessary to develop real property for use as a renewable energy project.Skills

Additionally, the role involves risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and property rights analysis.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent experience, or a combination of education and experience in the real estate industry or related field will also be considered. Advanced degrees are a plus.
