The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately receive goods into our systems as well as signs for deliveries, checks delivery content against the bill of lading, addresses and resolves any problems with shipments, stocks or transfers deliveries accordingly, and works with purchasing, accounts payable, and inventory control to address any delivery and shipping issues.
Job Responsibilities - Work safely and address any potential safety hazards
- Accurately receive goods in the Lonza SAP systems within 24 hours of physical receipt.
- Receive and label all direct materials with HU identification for production usage in Rockwell MES.
- Maintain records of all received shipments.
- Housekeeping of the receiving area and stock room including applying 5S principles and daily cleaning in the area.
- Handles telephone inquiries on received goods and related services. Interacts with Accounts Payable and Purchasing in order to resolve any problem receipts.
- Must inspect, count, and sign for incoming goods.
- Uses dollies, fork trucks and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around stockroom.
- Checks shipping invoice to ensure all items are accounted for.
- Contact purchasing to resolve and discrepancies.
- Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary.
- Processes transfers for shipments moving to another location.
- Conducts inventory of products and fills out adjustment forms for corrections.
- Reports any major or unresolved delays to the end receiver.
- Addresses and answers customer inquiries about pending receipts or shipments.
Job Requirements - High School Diploma
- Experience in a clerical type office environment, computer literate with a background in data entry.
- Must be certified to drive a fork truck.
- Experience with batch level receipts is desired.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Exhibits the ability to use inventory software efficiently.
- Possesses basic math skills.
- Works well with a team, communicates clearly and optimally
- Exhibits familiarity with receiving and billing procedures
- Is capable of operating fork trucks and other equipment to move heavy items.
- Demonstrates awareness of accurate warehouse and factory safety procedures.
