Ensure an attractive, well-maintained club, and the ultimate in member and guest satisfaction at all times by assisting in maintaining the guestrooms, public space and back of house areas in good repair through providing inventory control and disbursement services.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo provide inventory control and disbursement services; computerized record keeping; lock troubleshooting and repair; tool troubleshooting and repair; and maintain an orderly and debris-free inventory stock room.
  • Have mechanical trade experience; electrical, plumbing, hardware, lock repair.
  • Have the ability to repair hand tools and electric tools.
  • Have knowledge of current inventory products.
  • Timely, efficiently, and courteously process and fill parts requisitions; assign parts issued to work orders using the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Inspect and check out tools; assure tools and inventory are signed in and out on a daily basis.
  • Keep tools organized and in good repair; tag items as out of service when necessary.
  • Receive parts shipments/inventory and verify against purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Match receiving reports and/or invoices to the appropriate purchase order.
  • Enter parts received into inventory using the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Properly label and number received inventory; stock in the designated location.
  • Make daily counts of stock and enter accurate numbers in computerized maintenance management system.
  • Make sure parts go out in a timely manner and return items are packed and scheduled for pick-up/shipment.
  • Send out radios for repairs, follow up and receive.
  • Keep shop clean and organized; sweep shop and face off shelves; keep stock current, clean and organized; take out shop trash and cardboard.
  • Cut keys as necessary.
  • Have knowledge of general record keeping, filing, and office procedures.
  • Organize and file correspondence, maintenance manuals, and invoices.
  • Have basic Microsoft Office computer skills (e.g. Excel and Word).
  • Establish good working knowledge of computerized maintenance management system.
  • Have basic knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry.
  • Have working knowledge of the trade names and uses for common tools (hand, pneumatic, and electric).
  • Create exceptional experiences by taking ownership, showing respect, and caring for the needs of members, guests, and coworkers by practicing the Ocean Reef Club Promises.
  • Maintain regular attendance; schedule time off in advance, do not take unscheduled time off due to calling outs, arriving late, and leaving early.
  • Present a clean, neat, and tasteful appearance; adhere to the Personal Appearance Policy in the Ocean Reef Club Associate Handbook.
  • Display creativity, loyalty, dependability, and good judgment.
  • Keep detailed records in English as required for daily logs, work orders, billing, and preventive maintenance logs.
  • Have knowledge of general safe working practices.
  • Report major repairs, items which cannot be repaired, and potential problems to the supervisor for further action.
  • Resolve a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment.
  • Have basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of club equipment.
  • Be skilled in the use of related tools, including both hand and electric tools.
  • Drive Ocean Reef Club vehicles in a safe manner according to the Ocean Reef Club Associate Handbook.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle, equipment, and tools for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling.
  • Push and pull objects or material weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet for extended periods of time, with ability to reach, often overhead.
  • Grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally waist high.
  • Move and work throughout the club for the duration of the shift.
  • Work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the club (up to and including first, second, third or a combination of shifts and days) due to the cyclical nature of club business.
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by supervisors, such as assisting other trades, due to the nature of the business.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAny combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, or any other combination of education, training or experience of at least five years that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. LANGUAGEMust be able to comprehend the English language and demonstrate the ability to express and exchange ideas through oral and written communication and convey detailed and/or important instructions accurately, loudly and/or quickly.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic arithmetic skills are required.REASONING ABILITYMust be able to set priorities and possess the ability to meet deadlines and exercise initiative within department guidelines. Must be self-motivated and work well with limited supervision.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSA valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The engineering department thrives on achieving the mission statement twenty-four hours a day. To achieve this statement the following must be done:

  • Be willing to work in unusual environments at times.
  • Be able to endure outside weather conditions; heat, rain, cold, and at times high winds.
  • Be willing and able to work when needed.
ATTENDANCE, APPEARANCE, AND CONDUCTRegular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional. As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
