THE RECEIVING CENTER OPERATES 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK. WORK SCHEDULES MAY DIFFER THAN THE STANDARD 8 - 5 MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED THIS JOB POSTING WILL BE USED FOR ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME. APPLICANT LISTS MAY BE SCREENED MORE THAN ONCE. THIS POSTING WILL BE USED TO FILL MULTIPLE VACANCIES Why does the job exist? Incumbent will provide support services to clients which may include staying with children/youth in the Receiving Center, home visits, arranging appointments and transportation, entering data/notes into CYFD System, providing assistance to protective services workers and working on special client-related projects. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required. Ideal Candidate Experience as it relates to: •Working directly with Children, Youth, and their families; •Partner with Community Service providers as it relates to Children, and Youth; •Working with Youth in a school setting; •Determining eligibility for services that might be needed for the Children, Youth and Families; •Conduct and complete assessments of safety, risks, strengths, and family needs; •Developing Safety plans for the Children, Youth and Families; •Participate in multidisciplinary meetings; •Identify, provide, and/or arrange timely assessments/evaluations/ interviews; •Conduct medical case management activities for eligible clients. Minimum Qualification High School Diploma or Equivalency and three (3) months of experience as a home care worker, management of a home, or experience in providing social or rehabilitative services to clients in the community and/or in an institution. Substitution Table These combinations of education and experience qualify you for the position: Education Experience 1 High School Diploma or Equivalent AND # of months or years of experience specified in the minimum qualification 2 Associate's Degree AND Zero years of experience •Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position. •If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of semester hours in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours. Employment Requirements Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a current and valid Driver's License. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive phone and personal computer usage. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required. Work schedules may differ than the standard 8 - 5 Monday through Friday. Some overtime may also be required on occasion.
