Job DetailsJob Location Raleigh Warehouse - Raleigh, NC Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Job Category Warehouse Description Alfred Williams & Company seeks a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to oversee and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments. The role involves ensuring that all incoming items meet quality and productivity standards and supporting inventory control and overall warehouse operations.
  • Receive and unload packages from incoming trucks, sign shipment documents upon receipt.
  • Unpack, inspect, and route incoming shipments, notifying the Project Manager and Warehouse Manager of damaged items, recording shortages, and assisting in resolving these issues.
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Enter receiving information into the business system and organize all documentation in digital folders on the company share drive.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, assist in inventory control processes, and perform cycle counts as required.
  • Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move materials to appropriate areas.
  • Ensure proper storage, inventory management, and preparation of products for shipment.
  • Pull finished products from inventory, assemble orders, and prepare them for shipment according to pick lists, company policies, and customer specifications.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with periodic physical inventory counts and manage the inventory of receiving materials and supplies.
  • Utilize computer systems to track goods and inventory.
  • Perform small pickups and deliveries using a company vehicle, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in warehousing, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and extended shifts as needed.
  • Valid Class C North Carolina Driver's License.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
