JOB SUMMARY Accepts all purchased products into the Hotel, verifying the accuracy of delivery to purchase orders. Maintains storeroom in accordance with standards and rotates stock accordingly. Issues and delivers items to departments in accordance with the requisition policies and procedures. Conducts inventories. Maintains and upholds the Kessler Collection brand standards. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties, responsibilities, and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Review all Food & Beverage orders to be received.
  • Review emails with information on orders from the Director of Procurement and the Food & Beverage Team.
  • Daily Purchasing Line up.
  • Inspect all goods thoroughly
  • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items applying credit memos.
  • File completed requisition order sheets.
  • Receive and check all Food & Beverage product and rotate appropriately (FIFO System)
  • Take the temperature with HACCP handheld for records.
  • Put away all receive goods in the proper location and rotate
  • Place 2nd Run of produce returned or not received.
  • Receive and check all product orders with PO's.
  • Issue internal credit memos when discrepancies or price error.
  • File food & beverage POs received.
  • Log packages received from FedEx / UPS and email departments for pickup.
  • Put away all equipment.
  • Control and Clean Loading dock outside receiving area
  • Assist in the daily operation of the storeroom to include, but not limited to, reconciling items to purchase orders to verify the accuracy, rotating stock, and conducting inventories.
  • Following predetermined delivery routes and procedures
  • Fulfilling requisitions and delivering them in an efficient manner in accordance to the SOP of property
  • Daily Routine Clean Receiving area, Floors, and equipment
  • Facilitate and Complete Routine Deep cleaning of Shelving and coolers with minimal supervision
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to learn basic purchasing program (Birchstreet) key features for receiving
  • Ability to calculate basic math figures
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information, data, and basic arithmetic functions
  • Ability to interact with upper levels of management.
  • Regular, Early Start time, Reliable attendance
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to utilize Basic Math functions for receiving purposes
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and storage procedures
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, (7+ Hours)
  • Ability to lift regularly and frequently packages weighing up to 65 lbs/
  • Ability to climb stairs while carrying packages weighing up to 30lbs
  • Ability to start an early work shift,
  • Ability to be punctual, and maintain regular attendance
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time in a refrigerated / freezer environment.
  • Ability to sometimes work in inclement weather.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree OR equivalent years of experience and education - required
  • Minimum one-year related experience in similar title and level - required
  • Experience within luxury brand/markets - preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and Insurance - Required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • No direct reports
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The majority of time will be spent working in a mix of indoor and outdoor delivery routes
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office
  • The candidate must maintain a professional working demeanor at all times.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell
  • Push, pull, and lift up to up 65 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
