Minimal domestic travel required, possibly 10% of time.Job DescriptionThis position involves performing visual, dimensional inspection and electrical inspection of incoming product, raw materials, hardware and in process parts for quality workmanship, appearance and conformity to applicable specifications and standards. Also, responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming and outgoing products, materials and supplies. Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and transportation method used.Duties and responsibilities:Receive product, material per company specifications and procedure.Perform incoming inspection utilizing appropriate tools and equipmentVerify certification and conformity to production specificationsRecords results per procedures.Be part of the material review board in the disposition of rejected product, materialVerify product against purchase orders and packing slipsSort, label and store items in designated areasUpdate inventory control recordsLoad and unload trucks, stack and retrieve items safelyPossible use of forkliftPackaging and shipping of productsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentRequired Skills, Experience, and EducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredVerbal and written communication skillsComputer proficiencyForklift license a plusBasic knowledge of shipping and receiving processesProficiency in basic drawing/specification interpretationMechanical aptitude and abilityExposure to calipers, micrometersAbility to generate written reportsPhysical RequirementsExpected to use basic calipers and measuring devicesOccasionally required to walk or climbAble to lift at least 25 poundsPay ScaleAt GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $17- $21 per hour, and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
