In the military and commercial marketplace for both fixed wing and rotary aircraft, we ensure a broad range of products and product support with a single point of contact on some of the world's best-known civilian and military aircraft platforms.Job Summary We are currently seeking an experienced Receiving Inspector for our Macomb, MI facility who will be performing in process and final inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and or sub-assembliesResponsibilities Ensure product and Certification of Conformance to process sketches, blueprint, customer specifications, Manufacturing Order, and Purchase Order requirements. Inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected components.Interface with Buyers, Planners, Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Quality Engineering Departments, & Quality Management for resolution of nonconformancesAbility to work with ERP system to process parts through the systemEnsure quality standards and specifications are met on incoming productsPerform Process and product audits as well as First Piece InspectionUse various inspection tools and devices to inspect complex mechanical parts visually and dimensionallyCounts incoming orders/parts.Performs visual inspection of plating process.Performs receiving inspection to identify surface defects, such as corrosion, and handling damage.Follows all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment. Responsible for safe day-to-day activities required to inspect the company's products and processes.Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by Group Leader or any other member of the leadership teamMust be able to work independently and efficiently.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or EquivalentMinimum of 2 years' experience performing inspections in aerospace manufacturing.Mechanical aptitude, problem solving abilities, basic math skillsAbility to read and comprehend blueprintsAbility to read and comprehend specs and work instructionsAbility to work under limited supervisionKnowledge of inspection equipmentAbility to communicate effectively in writing and verballyBasic GD&T knowledge preferredComputer skills & knowledgeBasic Microsoft Office knowledge; Outlook, Word, Excel Additional Information Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), applicants for SELECT positions will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for those select positions.
