Receiving Lead - Week Day - Utz Quality Foods : Job Details

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Receiving Lead to join our team of manufacturing professionals at our 900 High Street facility located in Hanover, PA on the Week Day Shift. This role is responsible to provide support to ensure optimal flow of the warehouse by leading efforts to receive raw materials, unload materials, and stage raw materials for production. This candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator's license and have intermediate math and reading skills. This position reports to the Plant 3 Receiving Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Lead shift operations, including unloading and staging raw materials for production, and coordinating trailer movements with WDC, RDC, and other facilities.
• Utilize D365 to manage inventory, move products, and input raw material data; assist with EOM counting and obsolete materials.
• Assist with scheduling deliveries, managing dock appointments, and coordinating waste deliveries and pick-ups.
• Oversee unloading and staging of raw material trailers, loading outbound trailers, and completing required documentation.
• Provide leadership and guidance in the absence of the supervisor, supporting warehouse operations and auditing processes.
• Maintain product integrity by ensuring proper rotation and adhering to food safety practices in all tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe dock area, and support the supervisor with safety initiatives and monthly safety talks.
• Assist with unloading returns, sorting materials, and distributing received items, including UPS/FedEx deliveries.
• Support food safety and quality tasks, ensuring compliance with SQF System requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead a small team and provide direction when needed
• Experience with D365 or similar ERP systems preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior warehouse or receiving experience is a plus
