Company DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: Coordinates the receiving of all inbound freight for and outbound freight from the LSI facility. Ensures paperwork and logs related to Receiving and Shipping are properly maintained. Ensures that operational procedures are being followed and troubleshoots issues as needed. Oversees the effective cross-over between shifts, assists with training, and along with the leadership team, assists with staffing decisions based on associate strengths and weaknesses. Essential Duties:
- Acts as subject matter expert utilizing proficient skills in all aspects of the Receiving department
- Provides training to associates assigned to the Receiving area
- Answers the Receiving door, and provides instructions to drivers for inbound and outbound freight
- Ensures all driver paperwork is filled out accurately and collects signatures
- Monitors all international paperwork on outbound freight
- Provides feedback to service technicians on equipment issues and repairs needed
- Maintains adequate supply levels for shipping of freight (pallets, wrap, labels, pouches, etc.)
- Coordinates associates with the Receiving Lead, Shipping Lead and Supervisor to maximize productivity by shifting labor according to workload.
- Verifies count and accuracy of freight.
- Maintains a daily consumable/non consumable receiving log for items received
- Performs weekly inventory counts, and end of month inventory counts
- Communicates with EDI, IT and Transportation Departments on order issues and customer requests
- Controls order flow by conveyor carton relief, manual put-away and relief of cartons awaiting manifesting
- Performs daily carrier closeouts via system as well as scanning and filing of paperwork
- Performs palletizing of freight per customer specifications, placarding and special requests
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of the workflow in the Production, Case and Shipping Departments
- Receives and ships boxes and cartons via common carriers and resolves carrier issues, when necessary.
- Safely uses power equipment to load/unload trucks and move material within the building
- Maintains a clean and organized Receiving area
- Monitors associate performance and provides feedback to associate and leadership
- Assists in close out and manifest issues.

- Provides backup for trainer and lead
- Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsBasic/Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of receiving experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Ability to pass Power Equipment physical and training classes
