Your positive, professional, and consistent personal interactions make AvalonBay a great place to work.ResponsibilitiesWe are currently searching for a Receptionist to work at our Regional Office in Boston, MA. This position requires a highly motivated professional to perform a wide range of administrative and front office support tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Screening/directing calls, greeting guests, and coordinating with building security.
  • Accepting deliveries, preparing outgoing UPS packages, collecting and distributing mail.
  • Ordering and stocking supplies for kitchen, bathrooms, and copy room.
  • Placing catering orders and coordinating delivery/setup.
  • Maintaining neatness of kitchen area (emptying dishwasher, cleaning up after catering, etc.)
  • Making room reservations for meetings via Outlook, maintaining appearance of conference rooms, helping to set up for meetings and office events.
  • Performing basic data entry, such as entering insurance certificates and expense reports.
  • Assisting the Office Manager with various tasks; reporting office maintenance issues; and providing basic IT assistance.
  • Assisting various departments with projects as needed.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will be dependable, enjoy working with people, have a warm and friendly personality and a great attitude. We are looking for a motivated individual who possesses exceptional customer service skills and is ready to be a part of our team.Requirements:
  • High School diploma equivalent (GED)
  • One year of administrative and/or customer service experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Notary or willingness to become a notary
