Records ClerkReady to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.Salary: $37,714.48 - $48,141.18 AnnuallyClosing Date: 10/20/2024 11:59 PM Pacific OverviewUnder general supervision and according to established procedures, performs a wide variety of advanced technical and law enforcement office support services; gathers, records, maintains, retrieves and distributes law enforcement data and information; provides training for less experienced staff; demonstrates a full understanding of all applicable policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; performs other related duties as required. Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Records Clerk is the journey level position responsible for providing a variety of complex and difficult office support services in the area of records. This classification is distinguished from other clerical classes by the specialization in law enforcement record keeping. Incumbents are expected to perform the full range and scope of record maintenance duties, including responding to information requests from the public. Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of record management work involving public contactA high school diploma or equivalent. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C California driver's license. Must complete D.O.J. training for full access operator, and obtain a Records Clerk Certification from P.O.S.T. within one year of appointment. Additional InformationOnly those applicants who meet the qualification standards of this position by the application filing deadline will be allowed to participate in the examination process. Examination scores determine standing on Civil Service eligibility lists. The City Manager, upon recommendation of the department head, will make the final selection and appointment from the established eligibility list. The examination process may consist of the following parts: Application Package Review: Qualifying Only; Oral Interview 100% Weight Value. Candidates must earn a score of 70% or higher to be considered for the eligibility list.
