04th February, 2025Role: Records Management Specialist. Location: Hybrid / Ft. Meade, MD. Job Description: (1) Conduct a component-wide inventory and update file plans to identify all component records correctly; (2) Develop a compliant shared drive organization to ensure both electronic and hardcopy records are labeled in compliance with WHS Administrative Instruction (AI) 15; (3) Establish RIM procedures and training IAW Government policies and procedures; (4) Implement a policy for the destruction of temporary records past their retention period; (5) Continue annual RIM review of reporting offices; and (6) Evaluate ERMS for RIM functionality requirements. Educational Requirements: A bachelor's degree is required. If candidates does not have a degree we can substitute with 4 years of additional experience. Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of progressive experience in records information management.
- Knowledge of DoD records management regulations, instructions, policies, directives, and procedures.
- National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA), or equivalent certification (if they are close to meeting all requirements they can do it during onboarding).
- Outstanding organization, project management, and communication skills.
- Expertise in records lifecycle from receipt to disposition.
- Experience in Microsoft SharePoint is highly preferred.
