Our Organization is a faith-based, nonprofit with a passion for delivering effective substance use disorder treatment in the state of KY.Job Duties:
- Act and speak with integrity
- Serve as a role model for the clients
- Be available for one-on-one when requested
- Assist in the facilitation of structured activity groups
- Use relevant personal stories to assist clients through experience
- Encourage client voice and choice during development and implementation of plans
- Assist in client retention and crisis intervention efforts
- Support a client by: a) Attending team meetings on behalf of the client at the request of the client; b) Accompany the client to meetings if applicable; c) Empower a client to have the confidence to advocate for self
- Actively look for ways to improve the overall client experience
- Perform any other duties assigned by Programs/Operations Supervisor
- Fulfill standard client support job functions
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, preferred
- Currently enrolled for the APSS certification
- Maintain APSS certification (six hours of CEUs annually)
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Have received or currently receiving treatment
- Demonstrate a pattern of recovery from mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders
- 18 years of age or older
- Complete Isaiah House core competency training
- Complete leadership academy
- Employment with Isaiah House is contingent on the successful passage of a pre-employment drug screen, as well as a background check and completion of an I-9. Failure to take or to pass the drug screen will result in the automatic rescission of any job offer.
