We are currently looking for a part-time Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at Monte Nido Tysons Corner, located in McLean, VA. This position provides an exciting opportunity to grow your career in the mental health and eating disorder treatment field.

About Us: Monte Nido Tysons Corner is an esteemed day treatment program dedicated solely to adults struggling with eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Exercise Addiction. Our clients engage in both group and individual therapy, supported by a compassionate team of clinical, medical, psychiatric, and nutritional experts. Through intensive outpatient programming and partial hospitalization, we address real-life challenges to facilitate recovery.

Work Schedule: Anticipated hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Your Role: As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a key role in integrating and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. You will provide meaningful assistance as aligned with each client's treatment plan, enabling them to build healthy connections both with peers and our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients through their recovery process and assist in implementing their treatment plan.
  • Foster peer relationships and encourage positive interaction within the treatment environment.
  • Assist with food preparation and meal setup; model and supervise healthy eating practices.
  • Participate in therapeutic groups and help clients develop essential skills for clinical growth.
  • Conduct rounds and provide valuable observations to the treatment team.
  • Occasionally drive clients to off-site appointments and activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of post-high school education; a Bachelor's degree in Psychology is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired.
  • A valid state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving history is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, a service-oriented attitude, flexibility, and teamwork abilities are essential.
