Supports College leadership in developing departmental goals and objectives as part of the Institution's continuous improvement cycle, which includes participating in the college-wide accreditation process by performing departmental planning, assessment, and improvement to meet core theme objectives and contribute to mission fulfillment. Description of Essential Functions Recreation Center Support (100% of Time)
Oversee all activities of the Recreation Center, often in the absence of facility management staff (nights and/or weekends). Open or close facility as needed (including any related opening/closing duties).Operate from facility front desk, regulating who enters facility, while regularly observing all other areas of the facility.Handle forms/money for facility registrations, rentals, and any other miscellaneous revenue.Resolve conflicts/issues via appropriate means as necessary or directed. Oversee and provide training as necessary for student workers and federal work study staff.Keep work and service area in a safe, sanitary, and orderly manner. Clean the equipment and facility as needed or instructed. Assist in the cleaning/maintenance of the climbing wall and climbing equipment.Check-out, inventory, and maintain equipment. Assist in any necessary setup for classes, intramurals, and other activities (i.e., setting up volleyball nets) as needed or instructed. Serve as resource for information in response to inquiries from students, the public, and College personnel regarding classes, activities, procedures, and policies. Greet visitors and answer the Recreation Center telephone.Performs Other Duties and Special Projects as Required/Assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or GED/equivalent.
