RECREATION COORDINATOR P/T - City of Gallup, NM : Job Details

Job Description

Assists in the operation of Cecil Garcia Fitness Center and other recreation centers; maintains discipline of all participants in the fitness/recreation programs. Plans new activities and assists with seasonal and holiday programs. Participates in fitness/recreational projects including athletic meets hobby shows and other special events. Assists with officiating and supervising tournaments. Prepares reports of program activity and maintains records of all material and equipment issued. Responsible for the maintenance and security of program equipment and supplies. Responsible for daily deposits. Responsible for the monitor care and maintenance of any fitness equipment in the Fitness Center and/or other recreation centers as necessary. Performs a variety of janitorial duties on a daily basis. Customer service and communication skills is a high priority. Must display self-motivation and drive in leading the fitness/recreational activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Information

STARTING HOURLY PAY: $12.60 p/h MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Six (6) months in recreational activities could include coaching health club day care and afterschool programs. Valid driver's license (state of residence) Must meet City's insurability requirements Other Conditions: Must pass a background check Preferred Qualifications Computer skills CPR Certification and First Aid Certification
