As a Recreation Instructor for our fitness programs, you will provide instruction for group fitness classes and workshop to a diverse group of adults. All certifications, experience and class formats will be considered. Classes include Strength Training, Yoga, Pilates, Dance Fitness and more. Recommend new programs and program enhancements. Ensure safe and appropriate behavior through supervision of facility users and participants. Prior fitness certifications or experience preferred. Good communication skills. Able to remain calm and display confidence when interacting with the players, coaches and the public. Ability to act as a leader and role model for youth. Access to the use of a car or means of transportation to travel to practice and game sites. Ability to attend all trainings and meetings as required, even if scheduled outside normal working or regular scheduled hours. Must be able to work with limited supervision. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: Possession of current CPR/First Aid card, Mandatory Reporter/Child Abuse Reporting certification, Concussion certification. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Secondary education classes in sports or physical fitness related subjects, preferably including direct service to elementary & middle school youth.
