Recreation Leader II - Part Time at Sammons Community Center - CITY OF TEMPLE : Job Details

Summary Under the supervision of a Program Coordinator or Recreation Specialist, this position will be responsible to develop and/or lead various recreational activities. Must be available to work flexible hours and schedules to include weekends, holidays and special events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to the patrons, renters, and the general public both on the phone and in person
• Develops, leads, and supervises general recreation programs activities and special events
• Opens and closes various facilities and performs facility attendant duties
• Maintains essential records, prepares reports
• Receives money and records registration membership information
• Uses internal system for tracking patron daily attendance and financial operations of program
• Performs daily tasks such as cleaning, filing, sorting, answering phones, copying
• Conducts pre/post event rental checklists with renters
• Assists with the setup, cleanup, and breakdown of programs, events, and activities
• Follows administrative, financial, and safety policies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of two years of High School
• 1 year of experience in a related area
