Position Purpose: Adult Volleyball Officials will officiate MPRD adult Volleyball and/or Flint Hills Summer Volleyball League games. Volleyball programs are scheduled to be offered from September through June.
Job Duties
* Officiate Volleyball games.
* Work with supervisory staff to assure the accurate setup of the playing surface and assist supervisors, as needed, by helping with tear-down at the end of the event.
* Notify, instruct, and correct customer/participant behavior that is deemed inconsistent with athletic facility rules in a fair, timely, and polite manner.
* Provides excellent customer service and possesses a service philosophy which reflects the mission for the Parks and Recreation Department.
* Establishes and maintains cooperative professional working relationships with others, individually and in a team environment.
* Possesses characteristics of a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to details.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Additional Qualifications
* Ability to learn NFHS Volleyball rules and mechanics.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
* Knowledge of NFHS rules and officiating mechanics and signals.

* This is not a KPERS covered position.
