This position is responsible for developing, organizing, planning, and implementing recreation and athletic programs as well as the overall management of recreational facilities that support these programs, including but not limited to the Ice Arena, Municipal Pool, Rotary River Center, and concession operations at the Riverside Park Lagoon. The duties described above are indicative of what a Recreation Supervisor might be asked to perform. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. 2. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Parks and Recreation Administration or a related field. 3. Two year of progressively responsible experience in the field of Parks and Recreation. 4. Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment. 5. Certified in First Aid and CPR or ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment. 6. Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will also be considered.
