**The community youll be caring for:** AdventHealth Waterman - 1000 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares,

**The role youll contribute:** Develops and implements recreational therapy treatment plans.

**The value youll bring to the team:**

Conducts patient assessments and establishes recreational/leisure therapy treatment plans

Modifies treatment plans based on patient progress and the effectiveness of recreational/leisure therapy interventions

Coordinates therapeutic recreational/leisure activities for both large and small groups

Observes patient responses and encourages socialization

Provides patients with information and resources on therapeutic recreational/leisure activities in the community

Attends department meeting and education as required

Coordinates community speakers to promote patient resources and return to previous life roles

May assist with teaching clinical students

Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department

Communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, family and healthcare professionals within and across care settings and communities

**** Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

**The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:**

**REQUIRED:**

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Certified in applicable state as a Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS)
