Recreation Worker I - City of Galt California : Job Details

Under direct supervision, employees in this at-will classification perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the areas of recreation or the market divisions of the City. This position may be a part time or temporary position depending on the assignment. This classification is not alternately staffed and employees cannot promote to the level II of this position unless working in specified level II assignments. Example of Duties Recreation: Conducts or assists in the organization of community recreation programs, sports and aquatic activities and special events. Depending on assignment, typical duties include, but are not limited to: assist in the operations of a community program and/or gymnasium facility; provide support services to department staff; interact and communicate with the public; promote a safe environment for both staff and patrons; perform a variety of office and computer tasks and other related duties as assigned.
