Overview
The Unaccompanied Children Program provides temporary residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, the POH program provides a safe and nurturing environment for 439 youth as well as therapeutic and educational services and other supports that youth need to achieve success through an array of strength-based and targeted interventions as well as link them with family members and/or other sponsors in the United States so they are able to move forward with their lives and thrive.

Responsibilities
This position will require implementation of activities for physical education and after-school and weekend recreational programming. Activities must meet the emotional and behavioral needs of Unaccompanied Children ages 0 - 17. For this position we need someone:
* With ability to implement therapeutic recreational activities tailored to meet the emotional and behavioral needs of children ages 0-17.
* With knowledge of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) to promote and encourage programming participation and trauma-informed care.
* Who promotes and creates an environment that supports socially appropriate behavior with youth and his/her programs team.
* Who collaborate with team members to effectively communicate youth's behavior in recreational activities.
Qualifications
* Valid driver's license
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* Effective written communication skills
* 1+ year experience working with youth and families.
* Bilingual a must (Spanish/English)
Annual Salary $48,000.00
