The Recruiter and People Operations Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities. They are responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle for open positions within the company, including sourcing candidates, screening applications, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires, while also performing broader HR generalist duties like maintaining employee records, administering benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment laws; essentially acting as a primary point of contact for both potential employees and current staff on recruitment and HR related matters and ensuring that Gutterglove is a Great Place to Work®.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding processes.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and confidential manner.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in managing disciplinary actions and termination procedures when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities and events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Participate in the implementation of employee programs particularly our internal recognition program, our Dream program, our House of Innovation program, and training.
  • Handle office admin functions for the Franklin office to include coordinating with building maintenance when needed, ordering supplies, keeping kitchen stocked, coordinating weekly office lunch.
  • Coordinate off-site events for various departments.
  • Primary point-of-contact for IT related needs including user set up and termination, quarterly security compliance, inventory management.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of HR and recruiting experience. Must have excellent understanding of the recruiting process and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to provide guidance and coaching to hiring managers through the hiring process.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and be innovative.
  • Technical skills that include building and managing an Applicant Tracking System, and building employer brand on platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed and Glass Door.
  • Proficient in Canva.

Preferred Experience:

Payroll processing.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Designation.
