Job Summary: As a Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and onboarding qualified drivers and owner-operators. Your responsibilities will include leveraging cold calling, email campaigns, online databases, and Internet recruiting resources to generate potential driver leads. You will respond to and act upon various leads, selling driving opportunities both over the phone and in person. Additionally, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience while adhering to company policies and federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and engage potential driver leads through cold calling, email outreach, and the utilization of computer databases and online recruiting platforms.
  • Effectively communicate program offerings and career opportunities, selling the benefits of joining the company to prospective drivers and owner-operators.
  • Review applications for job fit and compliance, conducting thorough telephone interviews to assess candidates' skills and suitability for placement.
  • Maintain regular contact with pending candidates, assisting them with completing employment applications and ensuring all necessary paperwork is processed promptly.
  • Confirm new hires' participation in orientation, administer orientation sessions, and support candidates through the hiring process, including background checks, drug tests, and physicals.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal and state regulations. Maintain confidentiality of candidate information and manage all administrative tasks related to hiring and onboarding.
  • Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage candidates.
  • Proficient in using recruitment databases, email marketing tools, and online job boards.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of recruitment best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry, is an asset.
  • Working Conditions:

    Hours: This position may require 9 to 10-hour days, flexible hours, and some weekends.
