The Recruiter is responsible for full cycle recruitment and will develop ongoing diverse talent pools of candidates through strategic partnerships, lead generation, and networking. This position will support all departments and levels throughout the organization to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the company and to deliver the right candidate for the right position that will contribute to our high performing and constructive culture.

  • Manages assigned requisition load and is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruiting efforts which include sourcing candidates, conducting phone interviews, scheduling on-site interviews, and extending offers.
  • Serves as company ambassador within the community; establishes strategic relationships with schools and affinity groups to create pipelines of candidates with a focus on diversity.
  • Creates and uses diversity sourcing strategies for the business including external partnerships with diverse associations.
  • Determines applicant requirements by understanding the job description and job qualifications.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers regarding expectations, and/or challenges and develops the recruitment strategy.
  • Recommends process improvements, and partners with other HR team members to share best practices.
  • Collaborates with Director, Talent Acquisition to enhance recruiting strategies.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with HR Business Partners and hiring managers, solicits feedback, and makes necessary adjustments.
  • Negotiates and presents total compensation packages to candidates, in partnership with the hiring manager, HR Team and Compensation.
  • Establishes a sense of urgency and timeliness with hiring managers while looking at new and innovative ways to be more efficient.
  • Responsible for all pre-employment processes and procedures, including vendor management, background checks, drug testing, reference checks, etc.; provides backup for HR Coordinator as needed.
  • Provides weekly updates on current job openings and concerns regarding recruitment challenges.
  • Manages Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and leverages data to improve processes.
  • Communicates, shares, and promotes company vision to internal and external candidates.
  • Responsible for best-in-class Candidate and Hiring Manager customer experience.
  • Contributes to High-Performance Culture by assessing the candidate for not only their skill set, but a cultural addition to the organization.
  • Attends job fairs and other community events to attract qualified and diverse candidates.
  • Actively participates in all staffing related activities and engages in cross-functional projects.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of full cycle recruiting/talent acquisition experience.
  • Proven work experience as a full cycle recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and to collaborate with management, employees, vendors, and candidates at all levels and across all lines of business.
  • Knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and related laws.
  • Ability to operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
  • Working knowledge of various computer programs (MS Word, Excel, social media, etc.).
  • Ability to listen and document discussions and meetings.
Working Conditions
  • General office environment with occasional travel.
  • Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine.

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is an Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $76,353.84 to $119,397.60. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
