As the Recruiting Specialist you will provide oversite of the entire candidate hiring experience. Position will work with other members of the HR Recruiting team to ensure the candidate recruitment experience is seamless and leads to a positive outcome for both the organization and the candidate. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: sourcing and recruitment of hourly and some salaried employees, participates in the onboarding process, and follows up with new hires.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing operations by maintaining relationships with hiring managers, in order to support the fulfillment of manufacturing position such as Welder, Machine Operator, Assembler, Material Handlers, and shipping and receiving personal.
  • This role will support our manufacturing operations with a focus on recruitment of production hourly and salary talent.
  • Brings forth ideas, innovations and changes to methods or procedures when appropriate based upon improvements derived from experience or observation.
  • Forges strong working relationships with supervisors across the operations - communicating regularly, transparently, and forthrightly about openings, requirements, issues, and candidate or process status.
  • Possesses a record of achievement effectively identifying, sourcing, assessing and selecting prospective hourly new hires.
  • Represents the brand of the company in the local employment market.
  • Lead the search for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals to effectively fill positions.
  • Utilization of social media outlets for sourcing both passive and active candidates.
  • Interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills.
  • Proactively communicate with other recruiters and HR department to update hiring progress.
  • Coordinates and conducts presentations at career fairs and technical schools. Represent the company brand in the local employment market.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with area educational facilities. Attends various recruiting events.
  • Generate new and creative ideas to attract qualified candidates and retain employees.
  • Is flexible enough to juggle priorities, change course when necessary, and respond with a sense of urgency.
  • Show a record of achievement in identifying, sourcing, assessing, and selecting prospective hourly and salaried hew hires.
  • Advocate for the candidate and deliver a world-class candidate experience
  • Partner with managers and recruiters to develop recruiting interview strategies
  • Act as a super-user for our ATS, including updating candidate records, tracking recruiting activities, and posting jobs
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive candidate data
  • Provide follow-up correspondence with a sense of urgency to candidates on recruiting status via phone and email
  • Build strong relationships with candidates, the talent acquisition team, and our business partners
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of the candidate experience and scheduling efficiencies
  • Assist with other Talent Acquisition projects and activities as assigned

Qualifications and experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree required; degree focused in Human Resources, Communication, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of Human Resources experience in talent acquisition, with primary focus on manufacturing positions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, HRIS systems (i.e., SAP HR), and social media outlets.
  • High level presentation skills,
  • Strong verbal and communication skills required
  • Experience working with multiple ATS required and report generation
  • Experience with Google products, Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint preferred
  • Superb customer focus, attention to detail and organizational skills preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment preferred
