Job description

California Closets is a renowned brand and an established leader in the closet industry. We are a rapidly growing, custom furniture manufacturer based out of Hawthorne, NY.

We are seeking candidates for a combination role in recruiting and lead coordination to join our talented team. In this role, you will be sourcing, recruiting, and hiring talent for our franchisee businesses. Additional responsibilities include responding to client inquiries, booking design appointments, and assisting clients in the showroom.

Responsibilities

  • Advertise open positions, review resumes, source qualified candidates for selection.
  • Conduct screens of candidates and coordinate interviews for hiring managers via zoom and in person.
  • Create and update job descriptions in partnership with HR Manager and hiring managers.
  • Maintain confidential personnel information and files.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory legislation and HR best practices.
  • Provide tour of 2-story office and manufacturing facility to new hires.
  • Answer & direct incoming phone calls.
  • Schedule appointments for clients with our Design Consultants.
  • Assist customers in the showroom, providing information about products and services.
  • Maintain clean and high-end appearance of interior and exterior of showroom.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to enter data while on the phone with a client.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Familiarity with ATS, CRM and MS Office software.
  • Highly organized, ability to multi-task and engage with a wide variety of people.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Reliable and adaptable.

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in woodworking, carpentry, or cabinetry.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Prior related office experience preferred.
  • Customer Service experience in retail, hospitality, call center, or similar.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: 35-40 hours per week, $25-30/hr.
