YOU

As a Recruiter you will partner with multiple locations on all phases of recruiting, with a focus on manufacturing and warehouse positions. You will help develop, execute, and proactively adjust recruiting strategies in collaboration with local hiring teams to ensure hiring goals are achieved as well as provide a positive candidate experience. Seated in the Riverside branch location and at times providing support to all North America locations. In this role our Talent Acquisition team member will establish and maintain relationships with the local hiring teams and develop and maintain an understanding of the business, regional talent market challenges, and hiring goals.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

  • Create a talent database through effective sourcing methods as well as organic means, such as referrals and the applicant tracking system. Develop and maintain relationships with qualified prospects and share relevant talent brand content as it becomes available. Screen applicants and source talent by phone. Plan and attend recruitment functions including job fairs, open houses, college recruitment fairs and conferences. (60%)
  • Partner with hiring managers to keep the recruiting process moving in a positive direction. Conduct intake sessions with hiring managers to understand their needs, influence and develop an effective recruiting strategy, ensure the job description is accurate, ensure the hiring manager and interview team are aware of compliant and effective screening techniques, and help hiring managers align their expectations with labor market conditions. (20%)
  • Maintain requisition data and recruiting progress in the applicant tracking system. Communicate weekly progress to HR and hiring managers/supervisors. (10%)
  • Collaborate with local HR teams to ensure a smooth transition at various stages including interview scheduling, background checks, drug tests, and when the candidate is ready to be hired. (10%)
  • DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Human Resources certifications desired.
    • 3 years of Human Resources experience with emphasis in full cycle, high volume recruiting -preferably in manufacturing or operations preferred.
    • 1 year of applicant tracking system experience, preferably Workday preferred.
    • Employment Law: Knowledge of employment-related federal and state regulations.
    • Organizational Awareness: Understand the business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective.
    • Customer Focus: Quickly and effectively solve problems and maintain productive internal and external relationships. Readily readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing customer needs.
    • Self-Management: Set priorities, goals and timelines to achieve maximum productivity. Manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
    • Speaking and Communication: Communicate verbally in an appropriate way for the audience he/she is speaking to. Communicate effectively with co-workers. Listen with full attention to what others are saying.
    • Decision Making and Judgment: Ability to balance analysis, wisdom, experience, and perspective when making decisions.
    • Teamwork: Maintain a collaborative approach in dealing with other Simpson Strong-Tie employees.
    • Accountability and Dependability: Fulfill commitments made to customers, peers, co-workers, and managers.
    • Reading and Writing: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    • Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Attention to Detail: Monitor and review work for accuracy and completeness.
    • Microsoft Office and Computer Skills: Ability to utilize Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer to effectively complete work.

    TRAVEL REQUIRED

    This job requires 25% domestic travel.

    This full-time, exempt position is located in Riverside, CA.

    PAY

    $66500 - $86500 / year
