The AHD family of wholesale brands includes Made Goods (flagship furniture made from unique materials); Pigeon & Poodle (home and bath accessories); Blue Pheasant (handcrafted tabletop products) and Thucassi (artisanal candles and fragrances).About The RoleResponsible for managing the talent acquisition function to support the organization's business plans and talent acquisition strategy. Candidate will lead the process to efficiently support the acquisition of high-quality new talent to the organization. This position will partner with business leaders on talent acquisition related matters, including management of open requisitions, sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates, building candidate pipelines and extending offers.What You Can Do For Us
  • Design and implement relevant recruiting strategies
  • Act as a point of contact to the business relevant to the staffing needs
  • Build strong internal business relationships with company leaders to strengthen the credibility of the talent acquisition function
  • Grow and strengthen the external candidate pipeline to further expand the company network
  • Attract suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/schools, etc.
  • Screen and assess applicants' resume, knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates
  • Identify future hiring needs and develop job descriptions as needed
  • Collaborate with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
  • In partnership with Learning & Development Manager, develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports
  • Maintain recruitment tracking and open requisitions.
  • Create, share and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Promote company's reputation as “best place to work”
  • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated to the company
  • Conduct any other administrative tasks necessary to effectively and successfully do the job

Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in human resources management, business, communication or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of corporate recruitment experience, leading full-cycle recruitment, developing efficient sourcing strategies and completing effective searches with quality candidates
  • Competency with MS Office software and an ATS program
  • Possess strong negotiation and consulting/influencing skills
  • Capability to coach others on behavior-based interviewing skills and facilitate recruitment meetings and interview debrief sessions
  • Exhibit excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and exceed internal client expectations
  • Knowledge of how to build talent pools via strategic sourcing plans using a varied array of tools and resources
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to use stairwells to attend meetings and engage with employees on multiple floors throughout building.
