Position Overview
At Prestone, a Recochem company, we are committed to hiring qualified candidates for our team. We seek a part-time recruitment assistant to support the hiring team in recruiting and onboarding activities. This is a part-time (temporary), hybrid position based at our Rosemont office.
Objectives of this role:
- Support the hiring team with resume reviewing, candidate sourcing and screening.
- Facilitate a world class candidate experience for both the hiring team and job applicants by coordinating interview and onboarding activities.
- Maintain the hiring department's high degree of organization and efficiency by exhibiting meticulous attention to detail.
- Draft communications materials, such as job postings, emails to candidates, and offer and rejection letters.
Responsibilities:
- Support the hiring team by reviewing resumes and applications, candidate sourcing and screening to help identify qualified candidates.
- Perform administrative duties like emailing, handling paperwork, and processing background checks.
- Maintain candidate tracking and update applicant information in the recruitment system.
- Review applications and screen candidates.
- Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
- Create job listings and post them online.
- Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database.
- Assist candidates during the interview process, answering questions and providing them with key materials.
- Conduct reference checks by phone.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the hiring process, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- At least two years' experience supporting recruitment efforts or in a related role.
- Outstanding administrative and calendar management skills, such as data entry, emailing, and scheduling.
- Adeptness at using applicant tracking system software, such as Dayforce and LinkedIn.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, perceptive listening skills – with an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable in managing workflows across various platforms.
- Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Someone who demonstrates excellent judgment, discretion and sensitivity.
- High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
This is a part-time (temporary), hybrid position based out of our Rosemont, IL office. The expected hourly rate for this position is $25-$28/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.
