PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Recruitment Coordinator supports a wide variety of recruitment projects, initiatives, and activities that focus on the identification of top talent for RPS. This role plays an integral role in supporting daily operations, key deliverables, initiatives and strategies for the Director of Recruitment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.

* Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

* Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

* Attends College and University career fairs to recruit and hire teachers, administrators, and other personnel.

* Attends community-based career fairs to recruit and hire teachers, administrators, and other personnel.

* Coordinates and facilitates in-person and virtual district recruitment events to recruit and hire teachers, administrators, and other personnel.

* Develops and fosters relationships with colleges and universities to grow and enhance clinical and student teaching placements in the district.

* Coordinates placement of all clinical and student teachers in the district.

* Ensures all clinical and student teacher placement requirements are met prior to placement in a student teaching assignment.

* Sources and recruits certified staff to serve in cooperating teacher roles for clinical and student teacher placements.

* Coordinates and facilitates all recruitment activities (marketing, candidate sourcing, application management, interviewing, etc.) for Rockford Public Schools Grow You Own initiatives, including but not limited to Rockford University Education Pathway, LEAP Program, and the Aspiring Teachers Program.

* Create and distribute marketing materials to recruit and hire teachers, administrators, and other personnel.

* Proactively utilizes appropriate strategic sourcing techniques, including direct sourcing, social media, internet data mining, branding, search engines, networking, organizational partnerships, and employee referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a recruitment position required. Bilingual preferred. Education recruitment experience is preferred.

* Ability to foster positive working relationships with all staff, guests, partners, and stakeholders, and to coordinate with teams across multiple departments.

WORK CALENDAR: 12 Months

WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
